About Riley Park Trust

Riley Recreation Ground Trust was set up in 1914 by Mr. Edward and Mrs Emma Riley. They worked with other members of the community to preserve this plot of land and transform it into a place that can be used and enjoyed by everyone  Today, the Trust is still responsible for the park’s upkeep with  successive Trustees giving up their time in support of the Trust.  Riley Park is probably the largest area still managed in this fashion.  We don’t talk much about what we do and for this reason people often assume that the park is managed by Local Authorities but the reality is we look after the park with very little financial support.  We hope you’ll support us by coming along to Live at Riley and help make it a regular classic summer entertainment for a friendly crowd from all walks of life.
